This two-part painting has a deep, emotional concept. The composition depicts a face, with gilded textures and seemingly random, dynamic paint drips covering the eyes and part of the forehead. The gold and vivid turquoise background create a harmonious contrast, while the dark tones add drama and mystery. The lips are exceptionally detailed, their luminous effect giving a futuristic and sculptural look.
The separation of the double panel not only physically divides the image, but also creates a thought-provoking narrative: the fragmented self, the hidden identity or the limitation of the senses can be the subject. The gold-leafed surfaces symbolise both luxury and vulnerability, while the drips are an embodiment of spontaneity and uncontrolled emotion. This work is a truly modern, thought-provoking piece that both attracts the eye and prompts deeper reflection.
